jack pot!

My mom and I found a cool bird. It was an American Robin. It was so cool looking. I can't wait until I find more birds. And, did you not notice that the title said "Jackpot?" Well, this is a jackpot, so see my next post for "Bird Watchers," Starring Nick.

This is the story. First we saw some birds fly over our heads. Then I (Nick), climbed a tree to see them, but then I couldn't get down, so my mom made me go step by step.  We took some pictures of some wildflowers and a bee pollinating.  After we found some of those American Robins, we thought, "Man, these are all the same thing," so we went into the woods, and apparently we didn't see anything.

Boring Part (my mom made me write):  We carefully observed the birds.  They were pecking at the ground.  They had tiny heads.  They had tail feathers. They were gray and had an orange breast.  They had yellow beaks, and scalloped tail feathers. We found them in the park.  We got some pretty good pictures, so look out below!

We identified the bird using the website http://www.whatbird.com that my mom's friend, Georgiaberry, recommended.

  1. If you click on the picture and zoom in, you can see 2 robins. One of them looks like it's running. -Comment by Logan's Mom

  2. Wow - you are getting off to a great start with the birdwatching adventure! I did indeed see the robins in the picture you posted. Can't wait to see what else you discover.
